Contract Logistics at China’s CEBIT fair “Logistics & ICT” in Shanghai
On 29 October DACHSER’s Executive Director of North China, Mr. Christophe Vincent, was one of the honored speakers during the Logistics & ICT 2008 conference in Shanghai presenting the company’s in-house developed MIKADO warehouse management software.
Success is becoming increasingly dependent on computerization - making it imperative for information and communication technology providers to get involved. Said so, around 300 decision-makers and market leaders from around the world discussed ICT applications in the logistics industry focusing the fast-growing Asian market based on presentations from companies like IBM, Metro Group Logistics, UPS, Wal-Mart Stores, B&Q China, Maersk Logistics, SAP, Gome Group, COSCO Logistics, Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M), etc.
The event was supported amongst others by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, P.R. China (MIIT), the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM), the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) and the Fraunhofer-Institute Materials Flow and Logistics.
Together with the concurrent CeMAT Asia 2008, this event was a rewarding experience to find more efficient business opportunities in fast growing logistics markets like China.
