International logistics service provider, DACHSER, signed a cooperation framework agreement with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

DACHSER Shenzhen Co. Ltd. and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Co. Ltd. signed recently a strategic cooperation framework agreement that represents a solid foundation for further bilateral business relations.

The agreement was signed in Guangzhou by Mr. Kevin Chen, DACHSER’s Executive Director South China, and Mr. Chen Xiaoning, Vice President of Guangdong Airport Management Corporation, and Mr. Zhang Yuming, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Main purpose of the collaboration agreement is to improve the customs clearance work flow and to simplify the customs clearance procedure in order to achieve faster transit times for cargo of DACHSER’s customers.

Moreover it is targeted to implement a new model of the Cargo Security Inspection System which will enhance a cargo safeguard and accelerate the handling process. Further flexible operation methods have been discussed and adjustable payment methods are gradually implemented.

In addition the establishment of the “Weight Credible Forwarder System” will give DACHSER priority of passage assistance – another significant benefit for customers.

This foundation gives DACHSER the opportunity to accelerate its air freight business development in South China and supports Baiyun’s Airport to strengthen its position as third largest airfreight cargo hub in mainland China.
